Hi,

I just subscribed to this list and I would like to introduce myself. As
an accessibility expert working in Montreal, Quebec, I am giving courses
on accessibility of PDF, Word, ODT and other files formats. I'm
interested to offer alternative ways to produce acessible files like
LibreOffice.

Merci Vincent et Sophie

As a newcomer with no background in this field but with an obvious interest here is the information that I would like to have access to on a wiki page:

* list of tools (software/hardware) that are considered essential for user with accessibility challenges * list of tools (software/hardware) that are presently supported by OOo/LibreOffice
* OOo/LibreOffice work to present on accessibility
* list of governmental organisations where procurement rules/legislation/guidelines have been set * list of non-governmental organisations who have shown interest in our progress with accessibility tools * list of governmental and non-governmental agencies who may be interested in partnership arrangements with OOo/LibreOffice for test trial as well as code development * overview of how many active devs are interested in working on accessibility code contribution * list of active native language lists where accessibility issues with LibreOffice are seriously undertaken and discussed
** are the discussions easily shared with other groups?

IMO, these items would make a great start to building a good wiki reference section on accessibility. I will also contact my sources with education institutions as we are organising an try to add any more pertinent information. Maybe I could convince some to join this group in order to help with recommendations as well as report back to their respective professional organisations on our progress.
