Looking at this firms website I can't help but feel we are just giving
some free advertisement to a local system vendor. I appreciate that they
support our software and am very happy that they, apparently, include it
on systems they sell, but in all honesty that is neither unique nor
particularly noteworthy in and of itself - I have already met many such
vendors in my region.

Hi Drew, you are perfectly right. We need better rules for the
ecosystem, and this is not only to have a tidier website but also to
create and leverage opportunities for sponsors, members and supporters
worldwide.

So, what should we do in the meantime?

Well, keeping the discussion to this one quote.

If Olivier solicited it from the vendor directly, or if there is a
general request on the website now (I don't recall) and Olivier let the
individual think it would be used then I think we have to back up
Olivier and place it on the page.

But I wouldn't expect it to be permanent.

@Paulo Does that sound OK with you?

Then I have a few ideas for moving forward in general and will put them
to into a new email thread, alright?
