Hello;
Right. Too many acronyms! Here are the definitions from Wikipedia, both
of which I feel are pretty accurate.
SWOT
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SWOT_analysis
SWOT analysis... is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the
Strengths, Weaknesses/Limitations, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a
project or in a business venture.
and PEST
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PEST_analysis
PEST analysis stands for "Political, Economic, Social, and Technological
analysis" and describes a framework of macro-environmental factors used in
the environmental scanning component of strategic management.
Fantastic job on the community dvd & site!

I am not sure what you are getting at by "a scope" and "SWOT" and "PEST"
"analyses of LibO in North America"?
What is "SWOT" and "PEST", etc..
You know there is a North American Community DVD out there, but I still
have not updated it from 3.4.4 to 3.4.5 yet. Been very busy lately. Too
busy for my "stress level".
The North American Community DVD Portal is at http://libreoffice-na.us/ and there is a link to
the LO servers for the ISO file of the DVD that can
be downloaded and burned. The online version is the same as the DVD
version, except one is online and one would be on your DVD drive. Anyone
can take that DVD and make it their own, but it would be nice to be told
that you are doing it. The format [look and feel] of the pages are similar
to the navigation setup of the CMS version for the navigation bars/menus,
except there are less overall pages to deal with [i.e. you do not go to a
page for each and every file linked on the install, extension, template,
artwork, and dictionary pages]. For me, it is easier for the user this
way, but it does limit how much space, or layout, you have to "talk about"
the individual files.

*NA SWOT & PEST*
A week from now, I'll be mailing out a "scope" for SWOT and PEST analyses
of LibO in North America; in other words, outlines of what these would
include and estimated delivery dates.
Please feel free to tell me what you think needs to be addressed (or
shouldn't be left out) as I cobble these together. Now is a good time to
collect any thoughts you may have.
*
LibO in Browser*
I've seen one or two video demos floating around the web but I want to
get my hands on it in-house and lurk in the appropriate channels. Can
someone help?
*LibO & Collaboration
*Skydrive, Sharepoint, Google Docs, Box.net, et al & LibO. Is there a
roadmap for, or discussion going on about, this kind of collaboration?
This has been on my radar for over a year now. Not sure what to do w/it.
