Howdy,

Then I take it from your answer that you don't have anything together at
this point as to contents for the DVD, you are waiting on the project to
produce a DVD image for you to copy. Is that correct?

Which begs the question then what do we have to offer a community
distributor to distribute?

There is a DVD image ready to go, updated with each release (beta & rc
included), but that would be in German only - so probably not a big help
here.

So in English there is the actual install files and source tar ball - I
don't know doesn't seem right to just plop on a DVD and call it a day,
does it?

As we need DVDs for different events I suppose a quick little project is
kind of in order.

Question for anyone on the list:

For a DVD to distribute at the shows just LibreOffice would be the way
to go for right now? (app, sdk, lang packs, source)

Just include the extensions in the Libo release proper - so no MySQL
connector for example.

Manuals of course - just what is available on the wiki currently?

@Dave - We can gather feed back here on the list, but it makes sense to
capture this using the wiki, if you would be willing to work with me on
putting a wiki page together on what would be on the disk that would be
a good help. But since I started this email by asking you a question
this is a good spot to stop and let you respond.

Thanks

Drew

Question? When will the Community Distributors page be up with links to "my page

Good question Dave - not sure we have a time on that.

I saw the change to the website with the coming soon graphic - did you
not already say in the ML, once or twice, that you would not deliver a
DVD to anyone that did not have the stable release on it?

Personally pre-order was not a problem with me.

What I don't remember without going back through the old emails was the
final call on the packaging - I think you had decided to only use
authorized TDF packaging and I suppose that means by inference that you
would be including content on the disc available from us also, is that
right?

Please just bare with us as I think this packaging and contents question
will go a long way here.

Thanks

Drew

If you look at my new page you will see a "coming soon" pic and links back to the LibO
download page at http://www.libreoffice.org.
