SCALE will is end of Feb, Document Freedom Day was in March 2010.

If DFD 2011 timing is similar to 2010, we should use that as a good
basis for a hand out piece - we would promote, urge, people to get
involved on a super local level with some DFD activity.

Ties back into the discussion on overcoming ODF objections I think..

Yes you are right. I just read that someone in Edmonton Canada made a big deal of DFD 2010 and I am hoping to contact him. We should try to find out the date and put it on the "international LibO calendar of events" even if we don't know who will be attending. We need to keep filling in dates regardless of an attendee or not. At least we would have a record and we could review our successes at attending event later for market strategy.
