Enkele mensen hier hebben vrij veel ervaring met Base, verwacht ik.
Er is een vraagje dat open staat. Aanbevolen:

De default wordt gezet op CURRENT_TIMESTAMP.
Dat kan alleen als:
-de kolom van het type timestamp is;
-de kolom van het type datetime is en MariaDB van versie 10.0.1 of later is.
Geen van beide kan ik controleren met de info in Ask.
Heb zelf even geexperimenteerd met versie 10.1.16:
aanmaak tabel met datetime kolom en default current_timestamp gaat probleemloos;
wijzigen datetime tabelkolom naar default current_timestamp geeft ook bij mij foutmelding.
Weet nog niet waar ik de oorzaak moet zoeken.
