Aan de ‘Handleiding voor beginners 5.1’ is het hoofdstuk 'Kennismaken met
Base' toegevoegd.
Dit hoofdstuk bevat geringe wijzigingen ten opzichte van de vorige versie
(5.0) en zijn voornamelijk de schermafbeeldingen en terminologie op de
nieuwe versie aangepast en zijn enkele nieuwe functies beschreven.
In dit hoofdstuk wordt de basis van Base beschreven. Zo wordt beschreven
wat een relationele database is en hoe die het beste gepland en opgezet kan
worden. Daarna wordt aandacht besteed aan het maken van tabellen,
formulieren, query's en rapporten (al dan niet met de Assistent). Ook het
vullen van tabellen (eventueel met formulieren) en het koppelen van andere
gegevensbronnen komen aan bod.
