Is het niet iets zoals "klemtoonteken".
Zie de aanduidingen in woordenboeken waar dergelijke tekens worden gebruikt.

Ik gis, dus iedere andere mening kan ook goed zijn.

Misschien de werkbalk met besturingselementen of zo'n keuzepaneeltje dat
opduikt als je b.v. de achtergrondkleur of de rand verandert.
Maar zonder context is de betekenis onduidelijk.
