.... niet overal dus.... dat was het punt van Dick:  AZERTY, QWERTZ, ....
en zelfs een heuse nederlandse indeling, op de oude typemachines zal zelfs
een IJ.

overal gebruikt. Waarom zou ik dan voor mezelf een andere

Het toetsenbord dat wij gebruiken zou punt één niet ingedeeld zijn voor
onze taal maar voor de Amerikaanse/Engelse taal maar, en dat is het
vreemde, ons toetsenbord is daarnaast zo ingedeeld dat de meest gebruikte
letters (in de Engelse taal) zo ver mogelijk van elkaar afzitten op het
toetsenbord. Op die manier kwamen de hamertjes van de mechanische
typmachines zo weinig mogelijk vast te zitten aan elkaar.
Ergonomisch is de indeling daardoor eigenlijk de MINST efficiënte.

ojee, het AZERTY gebeuren! Dit jaar zat ik in februari bij FOSDEM in
Brussel ook te modderen in een Internet-café. Als je blind typt weet
je
niet wat je ziet. En als je ziend typt zoek je je wezenloos...
Het moet verbooien worden! Binnen Europa één toetsenbord:
EU-international,
gelijk aan het "@2" toetsenbord. Iedereen leert maar een beetje
"steenkolen-engels", n'est çe pas?
Gelukkig ben ik Europeaan en spreek de talen van mijn buren...
Maar ik zal zien of ik die gebruikers van prothesen tegemoet kan
komen...
