Quindi e passando alla riga di comando -con la quale, ho meno
confidenza- apro un terminale e, da root, do il comando
dpkg -iLibreOffice_24.2.6_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gzg Procedendo poi analogamente, per helpak e 
langpack. Ho capito bene?

Il file che hai scaricato deve avere avere un nome che termina con 
.deb.tar.gz

Questo significa che si tratta di un archivio compresso.

Prima di tutto devi decomprimerlo (non occorre essere root in questa fase)

tar xfzv <nomefile.deb.tar.gz>

poi

sudo dpkg -i <nomefile.deb>
