To give some context, the Drupal Group has been developing some sections of
the site using personal emails. There is a Drupal website theme about to be
provided to the mailing list for discussion. During the time this was being
developed there were a few suggestions that it should be happening on the
mailing list. It was suggested that a Drupal mailing list be setup, which
IMO should not happen as we need to make sure the temporary Silverstripe
site is not deviating from the longer term goals.

There has been dissent across all mailing lists at one time or another
regarding alternative communication systems such as forums, which can I
assure you are coming along with the Drupal site. I feel it is going to be
critically important to get the Drupal site up and running as quickly as
possible in order to avoid community fracturing.

I strongly encourage people to make more use of the wiki. It is a powerful
system, which although does not allow real time communication, provides a
great framework for decision making.

One temporary solution to many of the communication problems would be to
enable rich text (HTML) and attachment support on the mailing lists. Is this
possible?

Thanks,
Michael Wheatland
