The only thing I would be concerned about is the integration with the

Hi Michael,

I did some research on that specific question about a month ago, there
appears to be a popular and stable integration module available.

Went to a number of active reference sites using it. Would want to do a
little more research into question of having the forum on a different
db/web server then the Drupal instance, for some optional features, but
but I have a high confidence that it's a viable option should we choose
to do so.

Right now though (this email), I want to pull back from the straight
forum question for a minute to the -user support - section of the
subject line.

There are a couple of disparate conversations going on in the MLs that
really should IMO come together for a moment.

There is a discussion on the dev list dealing with a trimmed down way to
enter bugs - or maybe better said - more user friendly defect reporting
process
AND a specific discussion about accepting documents for use in defect
tracking, a very good idea forming in that discussion. (on that last
item, here is a little tidbit - 7,000 attachments at the u.s.oo.o en
forum alone)

There is a discussion on the discuss list about a support mailing list
specific to users coming from MSO (maybe they mean other suites in
general) and / or a faq on same with links to ml, forums.

It makes sense to have all of us talking on the same channel right now
as, IMO, the subjects are all part of user support from a holistic
perspective, not to mention there is that support page to fill with
content still, isn't there.

I don't really care which mail list we all talk on or which thread - or
start a new one maybe - but want to try to pull everyone in those
conversations together to look at all of that - not to have it all for
day one of the 3.3 release, but certainly there could be some
preliminary pieces put in place if we knew what we where building
towards.

Thanks

Drew
