Hello,
I noticed the link in the taskbar of Libre today as I was documenting an
online training I was attending and it piqued my interest. I'm a mother
tongue English speaking Canadian living in Germany and am interested in
learning more about the field of technical documentation. As I have 2 young
kids, I don't have loads of free time but I could contribute a few hours
each week to help with things like translations or offer my help where it's
otherwise needed. My German is not quite mother tongue level but I would
say it's excellent (better in the written word than spoken).
My education is in the field of mechanical engineering and I have some
experience in documenting projects in that field. When I was younger I
programmed basic HTML und mIRC scripts. Photography is a part time hobby of
mine and through that I have a basic knowledge of photo editing in programs
like GIMP and LIghtroom. I'm definitely willing to expand these skills as a
part of my contribution, as it would also benefit me personally.
Please let me know if I can contribute and how I can get started.
Best regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Stephen Potter
