Hi, Charles,
2014-12-10 12:00 GMT+01:00 Charles-H. Schulz <
charles.schulz@documentfoundation.org>:
1) I would
like to change the official blog of TDF to the Slovenian LO blog:
http://slolibre.blogspot.com/ and the TDF twitter account with the
Slovenian LO twitter: @slolibre
In both cases the Slovenian blog/twitter should be placed in the left
column and the English ones in the right column.
AFAIK the twitter feeds and widget is not documented on Silverstripe, and
it is essentially Cloph's own hack, which he went through great pains
designing it. I do not know whether it is documented anywhere.
Great, then I am asking Cloph to please make it happen for Slovenian
new-design website (not public yet) as I described.
3) there are four buttons on the download pages of the new design, the
first four on the right, in their own column (SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, JOIN
THE
PROJECT, DO MORE WITH LIBREOFFICE, GOOD LOOKING DOCUMENTS) – they seem to
be unlocalizable;
OTOH, there are rather easy to design. We could probably find the specs
back...
In the website po files on Pootle I just cannot find these strings so it is
currently not localizable through Pootle, neither I can find any possiblity
to do it through SilverStripe.
4) regarding the still existing issue with the non-ISO-1-code-page
characters of the new design-website font (like "č", "š" and "ž" in
Slovenian, displayed in another sans-serif font), I filed an issue here:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78596 and after that a
redmine
ticket was made months ago:
https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/issues/412 and people investigated
this – I can see the updated design, it doesn't break for me, but can't
seem to test the fix and report whether it fixes the issue as the English
site does not contain Slovenian characters, I can only report that it
shows
with a bit smaller font size and thus looks better on my screen – could
someone please send me a screenshot of the Slovenian new-design test site
with the changed font, then I can report back (or a link to it or apply
the
new font only onto Slovenian test site in SilverStripe).
I am not sure but I was under the impression we had switched fonts in
general and that it was now all working, or did I miss something?
There is still a problem with the fonts in Slovenian, maybe only Slovenian
new-design site is using the "old" font. Note that I can only see this via
SilverStripe as Preview Mode (the Slovenian still uses the old design in
the published website). I can send a screenshot to interested parties, if
required.
Lp, m.
