I consider it important to highlight the work of Adolfo aka Fitoshido
The intention is to get new design active before 4.3 launch, if it's
possible
It is possible, switching to point to the new site is fast and easy.
But problems that did show up in the past were:
* not having all assets copied over - when you point to the new
instance, then the old assets (images and files) will not be found
anymore - so please make sure you have all assets copied over or when
it all is in one directory, I can copy them over on the server.
* make sure to have all pages published, and not just saved (i.e. in
silverstripe's preview, make sure to view the live/published site and
not the draft/staging one.
* if the menu-entry is too large, I can apply css tweaks like it is
the case for fr and the pt-br sites.
If you think the switch can be done, please state so explicitly :-)
I'm not sure whether you're asking whether it is possible in theory,
or whether you're ready and want me to do the switch
ciao
Christian
