Hiya,
I just ran across a translation extension for MediaWiki, and figured
that we might want to consider enabling it on the TDF wiki:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Translate
The extension is a bit more powerful than our current mechansim, and
offers a few nice features including an integrated system for ensuring
that translations stay up to date. It looks like we'd have to make
some small tweaks to our pages to move to this system, but I think
that Dennis R. could automate that process using his wiki-bot :-)
Thoughts?
Cheers,
--R
P.S. I've heard people mention that the large number of red links in
our current translation template appears a bit untidy; the 'Translate'
extension solves this problem by only listing those languages for
which a translation is available.
