I've been away from my computer for a while.Opening LO, ver/ 4.0.4 informs me
that ver. 4.05 is available, but when I go to the download page I see ver
4.1.2 also listed. Is the discrepancy because the update notice does not
skip ahead to the latest download? I want to be sure I'm not missing
something before I download the wrong version. Which should I download,
4.0.5 or 4.1.2? Thanks for help...
the update mechanism does not always yield the most recent branch of the
software - it depends a bit from which version it is invoked and what
our current releases are.
The 4.0 series is recommended for best stability and more conservative
users, while 4.1 has the newest features.
I personally would go for 4.1, but if you plan to make a larger
enterprise deployment, 4.0 is probably a bit more stable.
