Well - impossible to track this szenario, as it would mean spying on
the user's connection - there are multiple reasons why connection to a
specific mirror, one is the use of proxies, another is routing
problems, etc.
would it be possible to inform the users along the
lines
your download will commece from URL of mirror click here to choose a
different mirror.
Yes, that would be possible. (And note that you can get a mirror-list
when using the "info" link in the download-buttons)
