good spot, indeed - I just changed my language to "en", and, voilà, get
an exception. So I could reproduce, and don't need to touch any users'
account (thanks for the offer anyways!)
Then I checked the options, and found the culprit: Either I had a syntax
error in my $wgDefaultUserOptions['date'] setting or the syntax changed.
After adapting that line, it seems to work like a charm again.
Can you confirm?
