indeed, you are right. Page access is counted, but not the downloads.
Unfortunately, right now, there is no other way of providing statistics
for individual wiki files in a quick and easy manner.
Maybe Christian Lohmaier knows some Piwik magic, but otherwise, ad hoc,
I have no idea.
