Actually, there was recently a discussion on the l10n@ list about
notices like these and it was decided that these would be better posted
on the projects list (you just have to read the thread to get the
complete gist of it)[1].
The l10n@ members were asked to remind their webmasters to check the
projects@ list for any announcements dealing with such things. It was
agreed that posting on the l10n@ list would just create too much
distraction/noise.
So, I've posted the announcement on the projects@ list (through Gmane)
and had it also set for the l10n@ list, but the Gmane did not work for
both and delivered to projects@ list only. So, I'll just leave it at that.
