Hi Christian, all,
Thanks a lot for your reply, and sorry for too late this response of mine.

What should be changed in spanish website download page to look like main site?
I guess now the www site uses "Download Simple Page (DownloadSimplePage)"
template instead of legacy "Download Page (DownloadPage)" in SilverStripe.
Exactly. And to add the "Handy Ressources" links, you need to edit the
meta-keywords of the corresponding pages
"dl" for pages that should always be added, no matter what version is picked,
"dlver-<version>" e.g. "dlver-3.5" for pages that should be listed fo
the given page only (e.g. the features page)
"dltype-<type>" eg "dltype-src" for pages that should be listed when
the type matches (in the example the source-downloads, other types are
os-platform type (like win-x86, mac-ppc, deb-x86, rpm-x86_64)
Thanks again for explaining the detail.
BTW could some one explain how authors in other languages can translate
words on the page, if possible?
It is translated in pootle - today I pushed the changes Rimas sent me,
so translation should now be available on the site.
Wonderful, that is more than expected. OK, I have noticed the 'website'
project in Pootle.
Otherwise is it better for local sites except www to keep the legacy style?
Matter of taste I'd say. If the new-style download works for you (it
should default to the subsite's language in case the language of the
browser cannot be determined/there is no download in that language) -
but if it is likely that your visitors will have a different langauge
set in their browser, I'd wait with switching to the
new-style-download, as currently switching the language would require
going through all three pages (OS, version & langauge).
We have switched to new-style download page at Japanese language site.
Please keep up the great work!
Of course prudent people on this mailing list may suggest further
improvements, but I think we go in the right direction on this subject.
Cheers,
