Hi,

http://www.libreoffice.org/get-involved/developers/ tells people to
use "git diff". Please point people to
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Patch_Handling_Guideline
and/or tell them to use "git format-patch" rather than telling them to
use "git diff".

A good balanced text could be:

Edit the files in rawbuild/<location>, and use git format-patch to
extract changes to mail to libreoffice@lists.freedesktop.org (don't be
shy, and please mention your code is contributed under the LGPLv3+ /
MPL). See the wiki page <a
