Nope, either a copy'n'paste mistake. There is no magic concerning
this. It is entered like this in your page's content. So it is some
editing error that happened at some point.

No, don't user http:// - when linking to your own subsite, please use
the "link on this site" feature, i.e. use the link-button in the
editor to change the link to your download page.
