Oggetto: Re: [libreoffice-website] bug on website

An identical error affects the "new features" link in the following page
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/release-notes/#LO342

that refers to this erroneous link (page not found error)
http://www.libreoffice.org/%5Bsitetree_link%20id=1297%5D

What does cause these problems?

Have a nice afternoon,

Carlo

Fixed! :)
Thanks for your report.
To me it's some bug in silverstripe... it happens in the italian section too
every now and then...

It's just bad copy and paste. Some browsers just are "too clever" and
apparently alter the link so when you paste back you get a messup.

If you use copy and paste, make so in the html-sourcecode view.

The only way to fix it permanently is to specify the link without using the
"site-tree" system - at least that's what I'm doing in the italian section.
Hope it's correct...

Please don't when manually using links, links will break when you move
or rename pages, and of course inter-page dependencies won't be
tracked (Related pages tab).

But ultimately it is your decision.

Where you absolutely should not use manual (full) links is when using
images, always specify those relative when creating them manually,
i.e. don't use "it.libreoffice.org/assets/whatever/image.png", but
just "assets/whatever/image.png" - but using the insert image function
is preferred, esp. when you change the size of the image (since
silverstripe will create correctly scaled version for you, but
obviously only when not bypassing silverstripe).

ciao
Christian
