I am not sure if your invitation for ideas was for logo/branding or for the page.
It was for the visual appearance of the page, i.e. suggested
improvements for the css used on the page.
But assuming that it is about everything, then the tag line is terrible.
Both logo and the tag line are supposed to be about the same thing.
Do you have a suggestion for a better wording?
So the next question: Is this logo for LibO (the product), or TDF (the organization behind it)?
Is is the LIbreOffice official logo, it's somewhat of a hybrid

Since the logo is placed with download links, I assume it is for the product.
Then why does the tagline say "The Document Foundation"? It is supposed to say something more
about the product.
(e.g. It can say "The Liberated Office" or something similar.)
"The Document Foundation" is part of the official logo, symbolizing
that LO is goverened by the TDF.
LO and TDF are both very closely related, so you cannot really
seperate the two...
