I've seen http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User:StefanW/Download_Selection
; StefanW please let me know how can I help you to integrate this
function into your code, or to solve any other challenge you have with
that page both on the client or the server side.

Well, I don´t beleive that my script will go into the final website.
When I startet with this script, it was meant as a mock-up, anyway.

The website people already came up with this solution on an other
test site:

http://pumbaa.ooodev.org:7780/home/download-and-sub/

This already detects the Operating System. I don´t know why they
haven´t integrated this into http://www.test.libreoffice.org/ yet.

Generally, I would recommend to avoid client-side scripting and
replace it by server-side scripting, whenever possible. I am sure,
the system and the language could be determined by a server-side script.

However, I am not the programming expert nor the CMS expert to
implement it.

Thank you.

In PHP you have $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']. Other predefined
variables are explained at
http://es.php.net/manual/en/reserved.variables.server.php

I left pending to read
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Website
for further action.

Regards.
