Drew,
The steering committee has given the go ahead for SilverStripe to
replace the static HTML pages so that there is some kind of management
and permissions over the system, beyond that SilverStripe cannot be
extended far.
An expectation from the Steering Committee was that Drupal will
replace Silverstripe within 3-6 months, or 'When Ready'. We are
currently developing 'offsite' as the server seems to be currently
reserved for Silverstripe development only.
Yes there are some people in any community which have a very closed
mind when it comes to collaboration, it is up to the community as a
whole to get behind the real contributors and support their
initiative. This is what we are doing with Drupal.
I would strongly suggest you disengage from this conversation straight
away as you will become either angry or disenchanted with the
community, and we don't want to see your enthusiasm go to waste.
The longer term, Drupal initiative has been gaining momentum over the
last week and we should be able to match or beat the time frame that
the Steering Committee has given us.
Let's get this Drupal site up and going so some real community
collaboration can occur.
See you on the wiki: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Website/Drupal
Klaus,
Thanks for some appreciation, a good sense of humour is hard to find
around here.
