In particular as Default shouldn't be used
at all. It's the mother of all styles and default for text is Text Body
(there is another ticket to change this).
Totally agree - as long as we are talking about paragraph styles. Yet, for
character styles, the "default" style is a special name for "no explicit
character style applied; use what is defined on paragraph level". So being
actually special and *useful*, it could make sense to *always* show the default
*character* style (unless we agree with a proposal elsewhere to add an
alternative way to remove all applied character styles to selection).
