Bullets in the attached file are defined with 75% (dots) and 45% (dashes). So
the font size defines how large the dash become, which makes sense.
Direct formatting is kept until you change it back. Also expected, for example
if you make something bold or smaller you want this formatting to remain.
So my take => NAB.
The correct workflow is to apply the formatting after content has been entered.
