            Bug ID: 129140
           Summary: Wording in printer dialog
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Keywords: needsUXEval
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: heiko.tietze@documentfoundation.org
                CC: libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org

I got an email about wrong wording; the request sounds good to me:

The printer dialog in 6.3.3.2 looks new to me. It's nice, but with a duplex
printer it comes up with the "Paper Sides" dialog box, and the wording in the
drop-down seems to be a conflation of two different ways of saying it.

The simple English version is we print *on* paper, so it should read "print
*on* one side" or "print *on* both sides".

The writer may have got confused with "print *in* simplex" and "print *in*
duplex.

My preferred dialog would read

Print on one side (simplex)
Print on both sides (duplex long edge)
Print on both sides (duplex short edge)
