To my understanding a tip of the day is unspecific and more fun than help.
So I wouldn't make it more complex. But open for other opinions.
I partly agree on that, but I believe it might be kind of distracting to see
tips that are somewhat far from how one intends to use the software when they
need it. At least, that's true for me and this is of course my very personal
opinion. Then, if one has time and is curious about knowing more about the
goodies LibreOffice has to offer, it's definitely worth to provide the
opportunity to do so, but might there be a better place for that, perhaps?
