It would be much easier
to position two snap lines, one at each end, snap two purlin objects to
those lines, then distribute 22 purlins between those two. [It has been
possible to do this in Visio for at least twenty years.] A nice feature;
that it does not exist does not make it a bug.
In LibreOffice you position the left object and the right object, then mark all
24 objects together and distribute them. I do not understand what you are
missing.
