No, this is just running the cURL based 'check for updates' script to test
currency of release, this check will autorun, but no direct action results.
At some point we may move to incremental updates probably MAR based--but thus
far the prototyping has been just for Linux and Windows, no work yet (and I
beleive that is part of the holdup) for macOS.
For the current 'Check for updates' the Install button is intentionally
*disabled* for security reasons, while the Download button just links web
browser to projects download site for a user controlled manual download,
followed by manual nstallation.
