It's not a big problem, but I think the improvement is very clear--you rarely
alternate between linking and embedding figures. Remembering the last choice is
a good solution. Thank you in advance!
P.S. There could also be an option to both link and embed (like e.g. in MS
Word). If you don't "manually" update, the embedded figure stays, and you can
also send self-contained .odt files to your colleagues. And also an option to
convert from link to embedded (Ctrl-6 in Word).
P.S. I'm new to LO Writer (guess where I come from) and I'm loving it. Thank
