This is my first feature request...
Congratulations! And many thanks for your enhancement ideas.
1. Make the Name box resizable, so it can be made larger.
The "name box" as the tooltip calls it is a dropdown control. Those are static
controls, sized for the best fit (e.g. made smaller recently for bug 90487).
There are no means for a dynamical resizing, i.e. a splitter on the right side
where you can adjust the width to your needs (and that would affect all
toolbars).
While suggestion for a solution is great you should always make clear what the
issue is (use case). Guess you cannot read long names, and a (bad) alternative
could be to abbreviate the text with ellipsis.
2. Only show names that are applicable to the sheet.
Ideally you add an exemplary sheet for this issue.
1. Add a Value column to show the contents of the named variable (Range or
formula expression).
Sheet > Named Ranges and Expressions > Manage (ctrl+F3); such a column can
become really large and you jump to the position on selection. So what's the
advantage?
