Of course not, and that's why we have NOTOURBUG status in Bugzilla. But in this
case LO uses a code path that apparently not widely used elsewhere, and as a
result all bug reports about it are going to *our* Bugzilla, not elsewhere.
(and we got huge amount of duplicates of this.)

with a solution inferior to most users?
Well, given that the KDE dialog just crashes when you move the mouse on it, I
can't see how bringing something that at least works is inferior.

Admittedly, there are some distributions still on KDE4.
Note that LO doesn't have KDE5 support at all. You're still using the LO's KDE4
backend, even under KDE5.
