I dont think docking is the solution and the solution is to integrate it into
the navigator as mentioned in bug 89566.
not sure whether there's space enough for all the Navigation toolbar
buttons in any revamping of the Navigator. These buttons are a very easy
way to... err... navigate ;) the different items in a document.
This activity is very desirable when managing big documents (ie, for
professional or corporate writers).
Of course any alternative providing the same capabilities would be
interesting to check but I can't see where the mockups you provide in
the bug report 89566 can compare to the current Navigation toolbar. Or
did I miss smthg?
