AOO uses different Windowing widgets and are way behind on conversion. In
other words, this is what LO looked like when we first brought in the
Sidebar. Conversion to .UI remains a work in progress, and margins and
spacing can be tweaked.
I assumed that must have been the reason. :D I thought all the conversions were
complete, or was that only for the dialogs?
Have to be careful about any effort to "save" space in the UI. l10n and i18n
string translations make this a losing effort--what looks good and seems to
fit in en-US gets out of whack in a hurry when translated.
Luckily we have a resizable sidebar. :D
