Other systems (esp. Linux) have more space restrictions, and don’t want to
make the sidebar panels wider. Also, these actions are related to the list
of styles, so I still think they should be in a new bar below it, similar to
GNOME’s inline toolbars: http://i.stack.imgur.com/yQr8r.png
A secondary toolbar with buttons from the current dropdown would be the way to
go--able to fit width of the deck that way. We can not squeeze them in on a
single row.
Perhaps a mockup, before you code it? The existing Menu items are named,
secondary toolbar would have buttons and need tooltips--what icon(s) for the
button, what tooltip(s)?
Another way might be to go ahead and add a second row of button widgets to the
horizontal list, spanning the deck--end up with feel similar to the top of the
Navigator content panel?
