Now that's very interesting. I did not notice that double clicking the
status bar in certain areas will open related dialogues. Why not change that
behavior to single-click?


+1. This is also what Office (2010/2013) does (and its status bar’s clickable
areas react on mouse hover to indicate they open a related dialog). This is
something I’d like to see in LibreOffice, as it’s much more user friendly.
