Hey Stuart,

2013/3/1 V Stuart Foote <VStuart.Foote@utsa.edu>:
So splitting my time between LibreOffice and Apache OpenOffice accessibility
QA efforts. Noticed a worthwhile UI addition implemented over on the AOO
side, a "Clear list" menu item on the Recent Documents menu that would be a
helpful enhancement.

Ref bug 37201 <https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=37201> .

But a review of SVN looks to be a pretty simple adjustment to LO
/core/framework/source/uielement

recentfilesmenucontroller.cxx
recentfilesmenucontroller.hxx

Maybe a good candidate for an Easy hack? Unless an experienced Dev with a
moments time just wants to cherry pick it across.

Can you please open a bug report for it in the freedesktop bug tracker
and put me into CC? I'll check what is necessary and might make it an
easy hack or see if cherry-picking the AOO change is easily possible.

But, if someone decides to dig in and do some additional work on handling
the Recent Documents list, then two other improvements I suggest might be
to: 1) allow increase or decrease of total number of recent documents being
listed; and 2) allow toggle filter to show only those documents applicable
to current component.

Sounds good. Please add for these two also enhancement requests in
bugzilla so that they are not lost and link them to the other bug
report. They both sound like possible easy hacks and I can see if I
can add code pointers and make them easy hacks.

Thanks a lot for your great work. It is very much appreciated and I'm
sorry that you did not get a response earlier.

Regards,
Markus
