Of course it needs testing; particularly if it's is going to get
back-ported to -3-6 ;-) the commit is not entirely tiny:

I understand this in the sense that a 'temporary separator' is shown.
Would it be easy to use the current mouse-moving-out behaviour too for
removing that one?
