There's a really annoying new "feature" in LO 6.1.4.2 - whenever I open a
file and print it with no changes, it prompts me to save the file after
opening.

Why would that be?

I think some information about printer settings is (or at least can be) stored in the file.

Like I said, it's really annoying.

If you don't want printing to treat the document as modified when there are no other changes, go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > General and de-select the 'Printing sets "document modified" status' option.
