I have a PowerPoint presentation that runs fine in Libreoffice Impress.

If I save it as a odp file it simply will not open. It starts to open then hangs. I was running 3.3.2

If open LibreOffice first and open the odp presentation it runs fine.

I have tried downloading and running the latest version 3.3.2

All the files say amd64 and I am running an Intel 5.
Same thing happened would not open the odp format.

I downloaded and installed it from the synaptic and found that the same thing happened. I find it interesting that when open the "About LibreOffice" under help does not tell me whether I am running 32bit 64bit LibreOffice.

I still have OpenOffice on my 32bit machines and have not tried LibreOffice on them.

It seems strange to me that I have more options in Powerpoint format (ppt or pps) and cannot run this presentation on LibreOffice in its native format.
