Whenever I indent a paragraph (whether I hit space bar 5 times, or hit
the tab button) and type, then press enter to go to the next line, the
paragraph I just indented goes back flush to the left margin. If I go
back and indent it again, and hit enter, it does it again. It never
did this before. It has been doing this since 2025 (that I can
remember). Anybody else have this issue?
It’s AutoCorrect that’s doing that. You can turn it off if you do Tools
-> AutoCorrect -> AutoCorrect Options, and then in the Options tab
deselect the option “Delete spaces and tabs at the beginning and end of
paragraph”.
There is a bug report requesting we change this behaviour, which I think
is a good idea:
