I don't know if ASSOC command could solve the problem. Associations with file extensions are correct. The problem is specific with "Content type"  String associated with the registry key. When installing Office such key is created and can be used by applications to verify the content type.

 LO works differently (I know why) but it looks strange that there is not an installing option.
