Hello,
I do the same with the help in French. I install the helppack_en-US and
helppack_fr and everything works well. Do remember that even if you
have the offline help installed, the help is still displayed using your
default browser. Did you have a look at the URL of the help? In my
environment (Fedora 42), if I open the LibreOffice Help from Writer,
this is the URL of the page that gets called:
French locale:
file:///home/opt/libreoffice25.8/help/fr/text/shared/05/new_help.html?S
ystem=UNIX&DbPAR=WRITER&HID=.uno:HelpIndex#bm_id3806162
English locale: file:///home/opt/libreoffice25.8/help/en-
US/text/shared/05/new_help.html?System=UNIX&DbPAR=WRITER&HID=.uno:HelpI
ndex#bm_id3806162
These are pointing to my local installation, not a page from the LO
help site which is something more like this:
https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/fr/text/shared/05/new_help.html?&DbPAR=SHARED&System=UNIX
I hope this helps.
Rémy.

Hi all,
Using LibreOffice (25.8.45.2) on my Debian 13 (Trixie) – see below -
I just decided to enable Dutch UI-language:
Downloaded and installed LibreOffice_25.8.4.2_Linux_x86-
64_deb_langpack_nl: works perfect!
I also prefer offline Help instead of online. So downloaded it for
both EN-us and nl:
LibreOffice_25.8.4.2_Linux_x86-64_deb_helppack_en-US and
LibreOffice_25.8.4.2_Linux_x86-64_deb_helppack_nl
Both installed without any problems but both don’t work: both in
English and Dutch (nl) interface my browser (Firefox) starts with LO
Help when invoking Help.
Setting: "Warn if local help is not installed" is enabled and -
properly - doesn’t warn: offline Help is installed.
Any idea what I do wrong?
Thanks for any tip, I will try them
Hans Troost
