I made a new document using my well tested template having my preferred style settings. After
completing the draft which amounted to 46 pages of A4, saved at regular intervals, I went to
install a Table of Contents on a blank page at the beginning.
The document has 23 png images, 4 footnotes, and weighs a total 970.3 KiB. Nothing very unusual.
As I hit Insert > Table of Contents and Index > Table of Contents, Writer crashed. It opened the
dialogue box for setting up the TOC and then crashed. I recovered the document ok.
I've repeated this 8 times now. It crashes every time.
[on Windows 11 with LO 25.2.1.2: there is no problem, so I can complete the job there.]
