I am using LO 25.2.4.3 on Windows 11. I also use LO 25.2.3.2 on a Mac running Sequoia.
When I use LO, I often bounce back and forth between Writer, Impress, and Calc. I recently noticed
that, when I click on <File, Recent Files> the list of recent files is limited to whatever module I
am in. If I'm in Calc, the list only shows recent Calc files; if I'm in Writer, it only lists
recent Writer files.
I have used LO for many years, and I don't recall seeing this behavior in past versions of the
program. If I recall correctly, in past versions, the "Recent Files" list included files from all
LO modules regardless of type, so if I were in Writer, I could see a recent Impress file or a
recent Calc file. This is more convenient for the way I work. I have looked through <Tools,
Options> to see if I can modify the current focused file list behavior, and I can't find any
adjustable setting.
Has LO been changed to focus the recent file list on the module currently in use? If so, was this
considered an enhancement? Can this behavior be changed?
As you may be able to guess, I'm not a fan of this behavior. Since I bounce between modules, I like
having the option of having all recent files listed regardless of whether they are Writer, Calc, or
Impress.
